Red, Red World

The request was for a design that deviated from the norm, and so, designers took the route of a bold colour palate that was anchored by shades of red, coupled with highly stylized interior composition. The living room impresses with its liberal feature of black and reds, expertly applied in both furniture and built in elements.

Care was taken to ensure that the strong colours did not overwhelm the space in the room, with soft furnishings like a leather sofa and a plush rug underfoot. Balance was met with an all-clear coffee table as a central feature. A hint of glamour was added as the formal dining area was replaced with a bar counter. Red is reiterated here in the floral wallpaper – again contrasted with a vertical display space that holds the homeowners collection of liquor and glassware.
